Birthday and Baptism in Paradise!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating my 47th bday with my youngest daughter, Elly, and some wonderful friends. We camped on the Tenderfoot Creek outside of White Sulfur Springs, Mt. The weather was perfect. Lows in 40s, highs in 70s. Tons of fishing, relaxing, atv-ing, relaxing, hanging out, and more.

Where we were!

A wonderful highlight of the trip, far beyond my bday, was having the privilege of baptizing my friend, Aaron. Our group all gathered with him prior to the baptism and read from the Bible, shared words of affirmation, and prayed together. It was a special solemn moment. Everyone gathered creek side for the baptism. The water was 40-50'. Chilly!

Romans 6: 1-4

What a special life moment. Afterward, we packed up camp and made the 10+ mile atv journey out of the canyon. On the way out we got to meet a mother black bear and her cubs. Thankfully she wasn't hungry. Sorry no pics. Next stop elk hunting season starting in 1 week.
